Welcome to the first post of the Light the Planet Blog. My goal, through the use of this blog, is to spread God's word to as many people as possible and to exhort and edify other christians. Please read, comment, and share. I can't say how often new posts will appear, but I hope to post as often as I can.
This first post is to serve as an introduction to this blog. It is meant to simply explain what L.I.G.H.T. stands for.
The L stands for LIVING, which has many different definitions. All of which, by the way, apply to the overall theme.
1. Havinglife; being alive; not dead. We are alive because God hasbreathed life into us, Genesis 2:7.
2. Inactual existence or use.Because of God, we are alive and are here to be used by Him through obediance - Ecclesiastes 12:13
3. Activeor thriving. Thismay not apply to everyone. Only you can determine if you are truly Livingfor Christ.
The I stands for IN. In, a preposition in the English language to indicate inclusion within something. Believing Christians have been baptized IN Christ and the spirit dwells IN us.
The G stands for God's. God, the Supreme Being and creator of all things. The apostrophe 's' shows possession. As Christians we are His children. Romans 8:16
The H stands for HOLY.
1. Specially recognized as or declared sacred by religious use or authority.
2. Dedicated or devoted to the service of God
The T stands for TEMPLE. The human body, regarded as the temporary dwelling place of the soul.

So now that you understand what L.I.G.H.T. stands for, can you honestly say that it applies to you? Honestly.
We, as Christians, are to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). We can only be this light if we are L.I.G.H.T. So, to help you, here are a few questions to help you determine whether you are L.I.G.H.T.
1. Are you a baptized Christian?
2. Are you faithful and obedient?
3. Do you strive, daily, to glorify God?
4. Do you live to be an example toothers in your family, community, school, etc?
5. Do you study the scriptures?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, then you should re-examine your life through the use of the scriptures.
Comments are welcome at all times. Please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help you find the answers.
Great job, Pat!
